The seminar was held in the format of a group work, which resulted in the formation of a list of problem areas in the organization of training for personnel of NPPs, built or under construction on Russian technologies. These primarily include cross-cultural communication. Their importance cannot be overestimated, especially for the stage of construction and NPP commissioning, when the role of workers and technicians comes to the fore. In this regard, personnel training for national organizations on the basis of train-the-trainers approach in Russia, where there is an opportunity to immerse into the cultural and linguistic environment – becomes a priority and should stay ahead of the contract training of NPP operating personnel. Such training should be preceded by the preparation of specialized glossaries, which allow comparing the Russian language technical terms with corresponding terms in English and in the language of the technology recipient country.

Courses on the specifics of the new Russian project AES-2006, planning of personnel training for new nuclear power plants and the courses on the quality assurance and quality control as well as non-destructive testing analysis were identified as the priorities.
