On 2-4 April the science and practice-oriented conference “Prospects for development of nuclear power in the Republic of Belarus” was held in Minsk, placing a significant emphasis on building the national personnel training system. The Central Institute for Continuing Education and Training (CICE&T), designated by JSC “Rusatom Overseas” to be responsible for supporting recipient countries in personnel training, at request of the Belarus side, initiated a roundtable “Personnel training for nuclear power”. At the plenary meeting, Yu.N. Seleznev, Rector of CICE&T presented the Russian concept of training NPP operators for foreign countries, which was further developed during this round table.
The representatives participating in the discussion from the Russian side included CICE&T, VNIIAES Training Center, Novovoronezh Training Center, JSC “Atomtechnenergo”, Kalinin NPP, JSC “Rosenergoatom”, Center for vocational training of construction and installation personnel, Institute for Nuclear Power Engineering of NRNU MEPhI. The conference was attended by delegations from NNEGC “Energoatom” (Ukraine) and Belarusian organizations.
During the forum the memorandums for cooperation were signed between a CICE&T and Belarus University of Radioelectronics and Informatics, and CICE&T and Sakharov International State Ecology University. The outcomes were reviewed during the meeting in “Belenergo” between M.I.Mikhadyuk and Yu. N. Seleznev, with the presentations by the Russian delegates and recommendations on personnel training highly appreciated by the Belarus side.
