Within the framework of trilateral practical arrangements with the IAEA and JSC “Concern Rosenergoatom”, ROSATOM-CICE&T was responsible organization for the scientific visit of high-ranking delegation from the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the Russian Federation from May 29 to June 5. In the framework of this visit, the delegation participated in ATOMEXPO-2015 and visited Leningrad NPP and Leningrad NPP-2, ROSATOM-CICE&T St. Petersburg Branch, Nuclear Industry Information Center, VNIIAES, Crisis Center of JSC “Concern Rosenergoatom” and WANO Moscow Centre.
The delegation consisted of: Director General of the Vietnam Atomic Energy Agency Mr. HOANG Anh Tuan, Vice President of the Vietnam Atomic Energy Institute Mr. CAO Dinh Thanh, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Agency for Radiation and Nuclear Safety Mr. CAN Van Minh, Director of the Department of Science, Education, Culture, Society Mr. DINH Huu Phi, Deputy Director of NinhThuan Nuclear Power Project Management Board Mr. PHAN Minh Tuan, Deputy Head of Administration Office of the Vietnam Atomic Energy Agency Mr. PHAN Van Hung and Attache of the VietNam Embassy in Russia Mr. NGUYEN Ngoc Anh.
The final meeting was held on June 4 in ROSATOM-CICE&T. Vice-rector for Primary Activity Vladimir Aspidov and Deputy Director of the International Center for NPP Personnel Training Roman Kritskiy made presentations about the history and main activities of ROSATOM-CICE&T, implemented approaches to training Russian and foreign specialists, including experts from the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. Leading Specialist of ROSATOM-CICE&T International Training Centre Mr. A. Ponomarenko presented a report on computer simulation of human resource development in embarking states focused on the preparation of the data for the OCTOPUS system. In addition, Deputy Director of the branch of the Karpov Institute of Physical Chemistry Prof. Duflot made a presentation on the latest achievements research reactor application for nuclear medicine.
