Russia-IAEA Advanced Nuclear Energy Management School

The school will be held from 02 to 06 August 2021* in Moscow, Russia.
The Advanced NEM School is a one-week learning event designed to build and enhance leadership and management competencies essential to supporting nuclear infrastructure development in countries considering, embarking on or expanding national nuclear power programmes.
The School is aimed at providing senior leaders and managers in the nuclear sector with knowledge and understanding of some of the key issues and challenges associated with the management and leadership of nuclear energy programmes. This will be done through providing a broad international perspective coupled with the IAEA’s specific knowledge on areas such as nuclear infrastructure development, workforce planning for nuclear organizations, nuclear safety, security and safety culture, the concept of risk and risk communication in nuclear sector, and principles of stakeholders involvement and public communication for nuclear technology.
The format of the School includes presentations, panel discussions, case studies and informal networking activities.
The School’s working language is English.
Participation and Registration
Applications will be accepted through the official IAEA channels. All applicants wishing to participate in the school have to be nominated by a National Liaison Officer of an IAEA Member State.
