In 2020, in order to support the course taken by the IAEA to develop the peaceful uses of nuclear energy in compliance with obligations under safeguards agreements, Rosatom joined the UN Global Compact that is the largest corporate social responsibility and sustainable development initiative for businesses across the world. “That is also the responsibility for the Rosatom Tech,” said Mr. Seleznev. “The Global Institute of Nuclear Safety and Security, which , operates in the structure of the Rosatom Tech. The unique training base of the Institute established with the support of the IAEA contributes to training personnel in all specialties in the field of ensuring nuclear security. We thank the IAEA for the opportunity to continue our ten-year cooperation and hope that it will last for many more years.”
The largest Russian energy company and operator of Russian nuclear power plants JSC Concern Rosenergoatom, which is the founder and partner of the Rosatom Tech, actively participates in the training of foreign personnel. According to Mr Gasten, the HR and Social Policy Director of Rosenergoatom JSC, the organization is ready to provide an opportunity for practical training of foreign specialists who will be trained at the Rosatom Tech within the framework of the IAEA cooperation programme.
