NPP Personnel Training Specialists Have Completed a Fellowship in Tecnatom Training Center

In December, the first group of instructors from Rosatom Tech participated in the training course “Methods and Practices of Training NPP Personnel of the European Countries Using Technical Means” which was held in Tecnatom S.A. training center in Spain.

During the fellowship specialists of Rosatom Technical Academy got acquainted with European methods of NPP personnel training, technologies and software used for the development of training materials and exchanged experience with foreign colleagues.

Moreover, young specialists used the opportunity to test and consolidate the knowledge and skills gained during the course “Systematic Approach to Training” held in Obninsk through the using them in classes focused on training personnel for nuclear power plants in Spain.

Among other things, partners at Tecnatom training center demonstrated the work of the technical training platform of next-generation called “Plant” allowing to increase the engagement of students through an interactive approach.

Special attention during the course was paid to the process of training operational personnel, preparing for classes on a full-scope simulator, conducting training and analyzing the results. During these activities, Rosatom Tech specialists evaluated the correctness of actions of personnel simulating the work on a full-scope simulator.

A new experience for the future instructors was training on a human factor simulator where various scenarios were played out.

Tecnatom is an engineering company that has been providing services to the nuclear industry. Tecnatom’s primary activities are inspection and structural integrity services, operation personnel training via the use of full-scope simulators and plant operation support engineering.

The cooperation between Tecnatom and Rosatom Technical Academy began with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, the purpose of this MOU is to develop cooperation between companies in terms of scientific research, education and training for nuclear science and technology in support of the development of human resources for operating and under construction NPP.

In the framework of this cooperation, specialists of Rosatom Technical Academy participated in the Workshop on Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) at the Tecnatom training center. Experts from Tecnatom were partnersin the project of the Rosatom Technical Academy with international partners.
