Potential Cooperation between E&T organizations. The case of KINGS and ROSATOM-CICE&T

On 26-29 of July, 2016 Prof. Vladimir ARTISIUK participated in the IAEA ‘Interregional Workshop on Supporting Nuclear Power Infrastructure Capacity Building’ organized by the IAEA and directed by Mr Ki-Sig KANG -Technical Head PLiM/LTO, Nuclear Power Engineering Section, Division of Nuclear Power, IAEA – in cooperation with KEPCO International Nuclear Graduate School (KINGS) in Ulsan, Republic of Korea. Prof ARTISIUK delivered three lectures covered the practices in the HRD for newcomer states and those expanding their national programmes.

The Workshop provided a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the approaches and programmes designed and implemented in KINGS for newcomer states. This was of special interest to visit KINGS since both KINGS and ROSATOM-CICE&T have their practical arrangements with the IAEA in the area of education and training (E&T). It is a matter of fact that the worldwide expansion of nuclear power brings the multi-vendor paradigm for newcomer countries. Harmonization of the efforts between various E&T providers becomes an important issue in establishing sustainable HRD programmes in newcomer states. These were among the topics discussed in the office of the KINGS President Prof OH Se- Kee.
