National Nuclear Energy Agency of the Republic of Indonesia (BATAN) and ROSATOM-CICE&T signed a Memorandum of Understanding on June 19, 2015. The event took place within the framework of the ROSATOM-CICE&T visit to Indonesia.
The goal of the signed document is the fostering cooperation between the Parties in the field of research, education and training in nuclear science and technology in support of nuclear infrastructure and sustainable nuclear energy system development.
“Signature of this Memorandum is a milestone in the development of cooperation of our institute with such an experienced and competent partner as BATAN. We are ready for full-scale sharing of Rosatom vast experience in the area of personnel training and nuclear industry scientific and technical base development with our Indonesian partners. We signed practical arrangements with the IAEA on common work in this area, and our programmes have already made a considerable contribution to the development of nuclear infrastructure of such newcomer countries as Bangladesh and Vietnam”, – said Yuriy N. Seleznev, Rector of ROSATOM-CICE&T at the signing ceremony.
The Russian institute and the Indonesian agency agreed on partnership in such areas as an exchange of materials, exchange of lecturers, distance education. The Parties are planning organization of joint symposia, workshops and internships.
