ROSATOM-CICE&T organized the 4th regional training course on Environmental Remediation Project And Programme Management For Uranium Production Legacy Sites on 5 October 2015.
The training course was organized by the IAEA in cooperation with the Government of Russia through the ROSATOM-CICE&T within the framework of the IAEA technical cooperation regional project RER/7/006 “Building Capacity for Developing and Implementing Integrated Programmes for Remediation of the Areas Affected by Uranium Mining”.
Course is aimed to introduce participants with general elements of planning, implementation and management of environmental remediation projects for uranium production legacy sites. There are 16 participants from Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Republic of Tajikistan and Russian Federation. The invited IAEA expert Mr. Oleg Voitsekhovich is giving a course of lectures.
This is the final course within the framework of the IAEA programme RER/7/006 implemented in 2014-2015 (http://rosatomtech.com/?p=1308, http://rosatomtech.com/?p=1405, http://rosatomtech.com/?p=1694). However, the IAEA Secretariat initiated the procedure of prolongation of this particular technical cooperation project for 2016-2019.
