Rosatom Tech Contribution to Nuclear Capacity Building in Viet Nam

On the 20th and 21st of February 2018, two Vietnamese graduates Mr Nguen Dang Tkhai Bin and Mr. Fam Din Tkhang from Obninsk Brunch of MEPhI defended their theses. They performed their thesis work under supervision of Prof. Vladimir Artisiuk, Vice-Rector, International Cooperation of «Rosatom Technical Academy» (Rosatom Tech) with the support  of the Rosatom Tech research group led by Mr. Anton Diachenko.

The graduates investigated the  nuclear fuel cycle of VVER-1200 reactors loaded  with the REMIX fuel.The close contact with the Rosatom Tech researchers and involvement in their work allowed Mr. Nguen Dang Tkhai Bin and  Mr. Fam Din Tkhang to acquire knowledge in the field of advanced nuclear fuel cycles, fuel fabrication and spent nuclear fuel reprocessing technologies, neutronic simulations and safety analysis of the nuclear power facilities, as well as specifics of interaction between the customer and the supplier of nuclear technologies.  Personnel of the Rosatom Tech International Center congratulates Mr. Nguen Dang Tkhai Bin and Mr. Fam Din Tkhang with the successful completion of the university programme , defense of the graduate thesis with an excellent records and awarding the qualification of engineer-physicist.

It is worthwhile mentioning that Rosatom Tech contributes in knowledge transfer through supervising the graduate works of international students on a regular basis. In 2017 Mr. Vu Hoang Hai defensed the graduate thesis with an excellent record and nowadays students from the  Turkish Republic Mr Kisedzhik M. Atakhan, Mr Avdzhi Akhmet and Mr Badzha Dzhikhan, supervised by Prof. Vladimir Artisiuk and Mr. Anton Diachenko keep their predegree researches for preparing their defense in 2019.
