The group of specialists from Rosatom CICE&T participated in the training/workshop on “Cross-Cultural Communication and issues of adult traning in Finland” on June, 17-19 2014. This training event was organized in Lahti, Finland, in cooperation with Lahti Region Education Consortium Joint Authority, Salpaus Further Education. Basis of the workshop discussed was the Memorandum of Understanding between Rosatom CICE&T and Consortium signed on November, 21 2013 (http://rosatomtech.com/?p=1063). It is well recognized that national mentality affects the safety culture that was emphasized in several IAEA documents (Safety Culture in the Maintenance of Nuclear Power Plants, Safety Report Series SSR, # 42, 2005, Safety Culture in Pre-operational Phases of Nuclear Power Plant Projects, Safety Report Series, # 72, 2012). Thus, the objective of the training/workshop was learning the specifics of associated Finish culture that made the Finnish practice in nuclear power operation as meaningful point of highest quality achievements and specifics of safety culture management during construction of complex technological facilities. For this reason ROSATOM CICE&T broadens cooperation with Finnish construction companies. In the framework of the International Forum in Moscow one more agreement was signed – with Finnish construction companies. (http://rosatomtech.com/?p=1225)
