August 6, delegation from Bangladesh led by Advisor to Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Mr. A.K.M Rahman visited CICE&T in Obninsk. This is the third visit of the high-ranking delegation of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to Obninsk. The first visit was held in 2010, after which two teams were sent to CICE&T to get short-term training in the field of VVER technology.
Construction of the first nuclear power plant in Bangladesh will be carried out on Russian technology, in accordance with all international requirements, and taking into account the lessons learned from the accidents at nuclear power plant in Japan. The delegation from Bangladesh learned about specifics of NPP personnel training in Russia from CICE&T experts. First of all, it’s a requirement for operator to possess a university degree and the work experience started from the level of linear operator prior to get a safety related engineering position. Thus, for future control room operator it is essential to carefully develop the post-university training path and this was the main topic of discussions.
