On October, 8 training courses for the specialists of Nuclear Power Plant Authority of Egypt have started in CICE&T. Two of them are implemented in Obninsk: “The Equipment of Reactor Island” and “The Equipment of the Turbine Island”, and the third one “Radioactive Waste Management” – in Saint-Petersburg branch of CICE&T. Totally 28 of Egyptian specialists will be trained within 2 weeks. The ongoing course is the continuation of the series of courses held in CICE&T in 2010. Unlike the first series, this training is more practical. Such experts of CICE&T with working experience at the NPP as V. Sinyavin (former Unit Shift Supervisor at Balakovo NPP) and S. Burlov (former Head of Nuclear Safety Department at Bushehr NPP, Iran) were involved in the development and implementation of the course. According to the practical arrangements between the IAEA, CICE&T and JSC “Rosenergoatom” the experts from the Concern took part in the organization of practical training. After a lecture (theoretical) module in Obninsk the specialists from Egypt will visit Kalinin NPP where they’ll have practical training at the Training Center and technical tours to the NPP shops.
