Training Courses on the Nuclear Infrastructure Issues: Environmental Protection and Nuclear Safety

In the framework of cooperation in the field of personnel education and training for national nuclear infrastructure (NI) of the Republic of Belarus two training courses on the subjects: “Environmental Protection” and “Nuclear safety” were held at ROSATOM-CICE&T during October 2016. These courses were developed in 2015 by order of the Project Office for Nuclear Infrastructure of JSC “Concern Rosenergoatom” as a part of the portfolio of courses on all nuclear infrastructure issues in accordance with the IAEA Milestone approach and they comprise a part of the Comprehensive Offer of the State Corporation Rosatom in the field of personnel education and training for newcomer countries.

As the instructors for the course, specialists of the ROSATOM-CICE&T and experts of the State Atomic Energy Corporation “Rosatom” in the field of environmental protection and nuclear safety and nuclear infrastructure development have been invited. The workshop was attended by representatives of the Republican Unitary Enterprise “Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant” and the Joint Institute for Power and Nuclear Research – SOSNY of the Republic of Belarus.

These are the fifth and sixth training courses delivered during the current year, for the purpose of assisting in the development of national NI of the Republic of Belarus. For the current academic year it is planned to hold another training course starting from October 31 on the topic of “Emergency planning”.
