On November 2, 2017 at the St. Petersburg branch of Rosatom Technical Academy an international workshop was held with the participation of the representatives from Paks II. NPP (Hungary), JSC “Rusatom Service”, JSC “Atomstroyexport”, JSC “Concern Rosenergoatom” and Rosatom Technical Academy (Rosatom Tech). The primary objective of the meeting was to discuss the training of instructors for the training centers of units 5 and 6 of Paks NPP with WWER-1200 reactors.
A day earlier the Hungarian delegation visited the Leningrad nuclear power plant (LNPP), where LNPP representatives familiarized the workshop participants with the LNPP-2 design, conducted a technical tour at FSS and TC of LNPP-2, at the construction site of LNPP-2 units reference in relation to Paks II NPP, presented approaches to training for the position and maintaining the qualification of instructors.
The parties discussed the schedule draft of training for the instructors at FSS presented by the experts of Rosatom Tech and an updated plan and schedule for recruitment and training of instructors and operating personnel of Paks II NPP.
As a result of the workshop the need to develop a general schedule for the implementation of works, including training management system, development of training documentation and technical training aids, synchronized with the key events of the construction of Paks-II units.
The representatives of the Hungarian delegation expressed gratitude for the high level of preparation and conduct of the workshop with the hope for future fruitful cooperation.
