Around 200 students from Engineering School of Nuclear Technologies of Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU) participated in a video-lecture-session organized by Rosatom Technical Academy (Rosatom Tech) on November 24th, 2017. The event was held in the framework of the cooperation agreement signed between Rosatom Tech TPU.
The video session began with a keynote lecture “The New Generation of Instructors” explaining a career path of an international training instructor Rosatom Tech provides for the best graduates of Russian nuclear universities, who has excellent educational records and advanced level of English language. Each selected graduate goes through about two years of specialized theoretical and practical training to become a part of a team of instructors working in support of ROSATOM international projects.
The keynote lecture was supported by presentations about the global view on nuclear power development, the status and plans of Russian international projects and the role of nuclear technologies for knowledge society. After the presentations the Rosatom Tech’s representatives participated in a Q&A session and discussion with TPU’s students.
Rosatom Tech works closely with local and foreign universities to support human recourse development in partner-countries in compliance with their national nuclear projects. These activities include also such outreach lectures and video-sessions which proved to be an effective and easy-to-go interactive way of communicating to a talented young generation.
