Joint Russia-IAEA INPRO School for Managers and Decision-Makers in the Nuclear Sector and Government

The school will be held from 04 to 08 October 2021*.
Concerns over energy resource availability, climate change, and energy security suggest an important role for nuclear power in supplying energy in the 21st century. The analyses resulting from INPRO studies provide a basis to evaluate and compare different nuclear energy systems and nuclear energy scenarios and to develop roadmaps to strategically plan how to move towards enhanced nuclear energy sustainability. Participants of the First Russia-IAEA INPRO School will learn about the concepts, methodology, tools and services that INPRO developed and offers to IAEA Member States.
The purpose of the event is to support capacity building and national human resource development in the nuclear energy sector. Specifically, to familiarize participants with the INPRO concepts, services, methodology for nuclear energy system sustainability assessment, and to provide an overview and theoretical training on the associated INPRO tools.

The School’s working language is English.
Participation and Registration
Applications will be accepted through the official IAEA channels. All applicants wishing to participate in the school have to be nominated by a National Liaison Officer of an IAEA Member State.
