Women of Rosatom Tech’s Moscow branch took part in cross-country running competition

On September 12, 2020, the run amateurs from different organizations of the State Atomiс Energy Corporation Rosatom (ROSATOM) have been brought together at the Moscow stadium “Medic” to compete in cross-country running. The competition was organized by the regional public organization “Dynamo” No. 22 – one of the ROSATOM’s subsidiaries responsible for sports development.

The cross-country race was launched under the encouraging motto “The Power is in Movement and Unity”. Women staff of the Moscow branch of the Rosatom Technical Academy (Rosatom Tech) – Alesia Iunikova, Anastasiia Andriushina, Yulia Belousova, Milana Ozerina and Anastasiia Zherebilova joined the competition as one cohesive team.

Alesia Iunikova, head of the Moscow International Training Center won a silver medal in the women 1000-meter race.

The group of female runners from the Rosatom Tech’s Moscow office are also members of the ROSATOM Running Club. The Running Club meets twice a week for an intense running-specific workout, which is guided by a professional trainer and includes a full set of exercises: warmup, running exercises, cool down and stretching.

In 2020, the nuclear industry celebrates its 75th anniversary. Rosatom Tech’s runners will take part in an online running race of nuclear cities, which will be held from 28 to 30 of September to commemorate this year celebration. Each participant will receive a medal and a branded T-shirt from the race facilitators in every participating nuclear city.

For reference:

In the Rosatom Tech, the topic of gender equality is given a great attention. It is important to note that the Rosatom Tech is in the gender balance (49% of women and 51% of men) in general, and more women (80%) than men (20%) work in the Moscow branch of the International Training Centre in particular.
