In accordance with the protocol on “Cooperation with the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in the field of peaceful use of nuclear energy”, signed on September 26, 2011 between the State Corporation “Rosatom” and the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam, the Central Institute for Continuing Education and Training has started the training for a group of specialists from Vietnam Agency for Radiation and Nuclear Safety (VARANS), Vietnam Atomic Energy Agency (VAEA) and the Vietnam Institute of Atomic Energy (VINATOM). The training program is scheduled for 4 months. The experts from EDO “Gidropress”, IBRAE, FSUE “SSC RF – Institute for Physics and Power Engineering”, JSC “Concern Rosenergoatom” participated in the development of the training modules. On the recommendation of CJSC “Rusatom Overseas” the course includes a module on the normative base for safety regulation at the use of nuclear energy, which will be held by the specialists from FE INSS “Scientific and Engineering Center for Nuclear and Radiation Safety”.
On October, 8 at CICE&T the details of the training process in terms of acquaintance with the Russian computer codes used in nuclear power plant safety case were presented to the Vice-president of “Rusatom Overseas” Mr. Yu. Sokolov, who is supervising the creation of nuclear infrastructure in countries – the recipients of Russian nuclear technologies.
