From February 21 to March 3, 2016 the Academy for Global Nuclear Safety and Security Agents of Tokyo Institute of Technology (TokyoTech) hosted the 5th International Symposium and Seminar on Global Human Resource Development for Safety, Security and Safeguards (Tokyo, Japan).
The Academy was established in December 2011 at the TokyoTech for enhancing global nuclear security, including training of future global leaders in the nuclear-related field to work in the IAEA and regulating authorities. The leader of the Academy – Prof. Masaki Saito is famous in Russia for his contribution to the development of cooperation between Japanese and Russian nuclear education systems. Prof. Saito – Professor Emeritus in NRNU MEPhI and former Obninsk Institute for Nuclear Power Engineering.
ROSATOM-CICE&T has a long history of cooperation with TokyoTech. The Academy and Prof. Saito personally has been successfully organizing the International Seminar/Symposium since 2012, and representatives of ROSATOM-CICE&T regularly participate in the events:

At the 5th Seminar/Symposium 30 speakers were invited to the event: best experts of nuclear industry from various countries and international organizations such as IAEA, WNA, CTBTO, ENEN. The main emphases of their speeches were nuclear security (including nuclear forensics), safeguards (non-proliferation) and the role of nuclear global leaders.
ROSATOM-CICE&T representatives participated in the 5th International Symposium and Seminar on Global Human Resource Development for Safety, Security and Safeguards: Prof. Vladimir Artisiuk as an expert/speaker (ROSATOM-CICE&T vice-rector, member of an International Review Committee of the Academy for Global Nuclear Safety and Security Agents, former graduate of Prof. Saito’s Laboratory), Mr. Ilia Filipev as a mentor of group work (Specialist of International Center for NPP Personnel Training) and Ms. Tatiana Poleva (Specialist of International Center for NPP Personnel Training).
