The European Nuclear Education Network, (ENEN) is an international nonprofit organization (aisbl) established under the Belgian law. The main purpose of the ENEN Association is the preservation and the further development of expertise in the nuclear fields by higher education and training in Europe.
The ENEN-RU Forum is a collaboration of educational organizations from Europe and Russia established in follow-up of the implementation of ENEN RU I and ENEN-RU II projects. In accordance with the decisions taken at the final meeting of the ENEN-RU II project, it is planned to expand the cooperation framework for research activities in the field of nuclear technologies and joint participation in international projects such as HORIZON 2020 and the OECD/NEA NEST.
The first ENEN-RU project was initiated by Euratom in 2008 through a sub-group 5 (Education and Training) of the Euratom-ROSATOM Working Group on cooperation in nuclear fission research. On the Russian side, the implementation of the ENEN-RU projects is supported by the ROSATOM’s Innovation Management Unit through a project “International cooperation in the field of nuclear education”, and Rosatom Technical Academy is the coordinator and operator for cooperation with universities.
