On 9 September 2013 ROSATOM-CICE&T hosted Mr. T Lyioch, Head of Department of international projects in Eastern Europe from TUV SUD Industrie Service.
The European dimension of the ROSATOM-CICE&T international activity is being developed in the framework of European Nuclear Energy Network Association – ENEN, which the Institute joined in 2010 as Associate Member. Establishing cooperation with European organizations dealing with safety of NPPs (TUV SUD Industrie Service has ample experience in this area, including WWER technology) is another step forward in development of the ROSATOM-CICE&T international activity.
On completing negotiations the sides defined their intent to pursue joint training of nuclear industry employees (including those from new comers) in the fields of quality management, organizational and technical aspects of assuring safety of operation of nuclear facilities and their decommissioning, remediation of areas affected by uranium mining and radiation contamination, compliance with the regulations in the course of licensing and supervision of nuclear facilities (including EUR requirements). The sides also expressed their interest in cooperation to establish personnel certification systems, which is essential in the context of the State Corporation “Rosatom” plans to build NPPs in Eastern Europe and Finland.
The division TÜV SÜD Industrie Service offers safety-related services for both operators and manufacturers of structural components and facilities.
